Leader of the Sharp Cats band - Musical Director, Guitarist, Vocalist
Yury's involvement in music began at age 5 playing the piano. His professional career started in 1981, in Israel, later spanning Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. Yury has entertained before wildly diverse crowds - from prison inmates to the fanciest hotels in major cities of the world; from the Middle East and Russia, to the wide variety of styles in America. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has performed with such noted celebrities as Maxine Nightengale, John Novello,Tamara Gvertzeteli (of Russia) and Victor Mendosa. He was a senior instructor for Jeannie Deva Voice StudiosTM, from 1993 to 2003. Since then he founded Shenkar Music. where he shares his musical knowledge and experience with anyone who desires to learn.
